Welcome to Bible 7!
We will discuss why we should have Christian Character, what that means, and what Character looks like in our lives.
It is my sincerest hope and prayer that through this class, God will be made REAL to you, that you will better understand how to have a real relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Welcome Back! We are in our fourth and final quarter!
This quarter we will be discussing God's power.

1.) Close your eyes and try to picture fire falling from Heaven and consuming even the stones, the water, and the damp earth. Write a paragraph in your journal telling how you feel about God’s demonstration of power in this story.
2.) The Bible says, “Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man’s behalf.” (Psalm 66:5) Write 2-3 sentences explaining how this knowledge encourages you.
HOMEWORK (Due Friday, April 8, 2011) Read John 11:32-45 and answer the following questions.
1.) In verse 35 it says “Jesus wept.” Why do you think He was weeping?
2.) By this time Lazarus had been dead for how many days?
3.) Re-write Jesus’ prayer in John 11:41-42 in your own words.

1.) What did God use to create the earth and the heavens?
2.) How did God create each thing? (Give a reference from scripture)

4.) How did God feel about what He had made? (Read Psalm 135:6 to find out)

HOMEWORK DUE 05/13 – God not only made this earth we enjoy, He will make a new Heaven and a new earth. Read Revelation 21:10-23. C.S. Lewis had a theory that in the new earth all the colors will be brighter and more beautiful than they are on this earth, but we’ll have to use what we have for now. Using the verses in Revelation, draw the New Jerusalem on a blank sheet of paper. Color the city, including the gemstones that are inlaid in each layer of the wall. You may work in pairs to look up the colors with which you aren’t familiar. As you do this, remember the New Jerusalem is just one more example of God’s endless creativity.

DUE FRIDAY, 5/20 - Write two paragraphs that tell me (after completing your music video project/presentation) did you learn anything? How do you feel about the project? Were there particular hardships or other issues that you thought wouldn't be an issue at the start of the project? Now that you have completed this assignment, do you feel relieved but successful, or do you feel your video still needed work and wished you had more time? WHY do you feel satisfied with your success or what do you feel the video still needed?
